What. A. Weekend! On April 21 our cadets traveled to RCSCC Lion in Hamilton to join twelve  other corps in a fun weekend of friendly (wink wink) competition. Friday night started off with a sports night meet and greet where cadets got to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones. Saturday morning started off early at 0600 with some PT and breakfast (congrats to Chief Timm, Petty Officer Sidhu, and MS Brown for getting far in the beep test!). This was also a great day for learning skills. Cadets learned how to tie knots, splices, and whippings.

They also learned how to put up a sheer legs.

This was an intense day for completion. The gyn team rocked their competition. Congrats to MS Green, MS Bell, MS Gillingham, LS Schmidt and LS Kok who under the leadership of their captain, MS Burt, took home first place!

The Flag Hoist team, made up of MS Green, MS Burt, and  MS Gillingham took home second place. The Sea Quiz team (made up of Chief Timm, MS Green, LS Kok, and LS Proulx)

Cadets working on a sheer legs [/caption]took our corps through a nail biting semi final and final and managed to take home second place! All teams made our corps proud and showed the other corps' that Warspite is a force to be reckoned with. Sunday brought in a day of sports competition where the cadets competed in basketball, soccer, pinball, and tug-o-war. They showed great determination, leadership, and pride. Congratulations to MS Green who took home the Espirt du Corps award for showing great sportsmanship all weekend. Everyone who participated in this weekend made the officers and corps proud. Bravo Zulu!
